Roadtrip to Virginia

Over spring break, we went on vacation to Virginia with some of the May family- Sarah's parents and sister and family. It was a great time. The kids loved every exhausting moment of every day. They were such troopers, skipping naps and going on long car rides, and doing lots of walking in the blazing heat. We were hoping for warm weather...and we got hot weather. In the 80's and 90's all week! Thanks mom and dad for a wonderful week together.

Riding these bikes down the Virginia Beach boardwalk became much more of a workout then expected. And it was 94 degrees that day!

Visiting Jamestown Settlement

Andrew was such a good baby the day we went to the beach. It was absolutely stifling that day. He kept somewhat cool in his little beach tent, and Grandma kept him company, too. He will be 6 months too soon...our little baby is already sitting up!

Thomas had a ball in the waves! Our last visit to the beach (summer 09), he wouldn't even dip his toes in the water, so this was a huge breakthrough!

Benjamin loved the sand, surf and sun.

One day we went to Busch Gardens, and the kids couldn't get enough. We shutdown the park. Here the cousins are posing with Cookie Monster. Benjamin gave CM the biggest hug...his little eyes were wide open in amazement. Is it really Cookie Monster?

BG has an awesome area for little kids...we highly recommend it.

Thomas braves the kiddie roller coaster with Grandpa.
